I just came across a post about a fabulous restaurant literally 30 feet under the sea. How amazing this must be to eat in! Only 14 diners at a time, and its in the Maldives, so I’ll probably never get to experience it, but even the idea leaves me with a little glowing feeling, although the more . . . intellectual part of me is wondering — what happens when Jaws makes his mandatory appearance?

I love to StumbleUpon great sites! Whenever I’m bored or in need of some inspiration, I just click on the “Stumble” button installed in my web browser, and I’m off to look at hugely interesting artifacts that users with interests similar to mine have submitted.
Earlier, I wrote about the book art page I found through StumbleUpon, and I went back to look at the whole site, Fun Forever. It’s spare but gorgeous (check out how the background moves as you scroll, how awesome!), and offers a unique collection of cool and usual products that are just flat out neat. I love this post on what blankets say, which includes sheets that have Romeo & Juliet printed on them to sheets that will leave messages pressed into the people sleeping on them. Definitely have a peek at this site, it’s worth it!

As I’ve said before, I don’t invest because the wealth of choices out there terrifies me. How do you know when you’re making a good decision? I’m not the kind of person who could weather a substantial loss without feeling like the sky was falling. I think this is why a recent web release by PowerOptions caught my eye. They deal with option trading, and they claim to be the only online data provider to offer their investors access to “SmartSearchXL®, a patented decision support technology that identifies the highest return option trades.” Decision support technology, I like that. Sounds like it would give you confidence, like your coach telling you to “Just Do It!” or something. PowerOptions also claims to offer “the convenience and control required to automatically sort, filter, and analyze all 3,000+ optionable stocks and 195,000+ options online to find investments to meet your profit goals.” I like how those huge numbers are balanced against your profit goals, like “see, its a piece of cake! I might end up taking advantage of their 14-day free trial, which comes with access to a free online User Guide and toll-free support…

You know, I pay an extraordinary amount of money for health insurance of which I never really take advantage. I understand I’m a smoker with asthma (yes, I am humbled by my own idiocy), but $400 a month?? I think I am going to really focus on my health after finals, and get a number of my ticks and tocks taken care of so that I can cut back on my coverage for a year at least, and not have to worry that my gears are going to get ground. Major medical should be enough after that, so I can rest comfortably knowing I’m not paying for more than I need, but also that if should suddenly bust a cog in an accident I’ll be covered.

Ouch. My bank account has reached my definition of “dangerously low,” which is when either of my two autopayments (car & health insurance) might drive me into the red. Yikes. Luckily, my sister just paid me back some of the money I lent her months ago, which I am currently ranking under the actions of divine providence. My work owes me back pay from the middle of March forward, and I’m expecting that any day now, which will be nice as I should be able to pay my summer school tuition and have some left over to cover a little of my monumental credit card debt. My mum always gets angry at me for failing to collect on monies owed, but I guess I believe in the karma of money. Give to those who need and it will find its way back to you when you really need it. For me, it’s like a saving plan, sans interest, but out of reach unless you really have to use it. But its getting to be a little stressful, so I hope karma turns to me soon . . .
