Tetris Online

My favorite video game of all time was Marble Madness for the NES.  But as that apparetly has essentially gone the way of the dodo, I’m left chasing down versions of Tetris Online.  This one is pretty good, although it has an element I don’t remember from the original, which is an exploding block that knocks out anything beneath, which is great for getting at the difficult holes, although it feels like cheating. :)

I love this show! As many of my friends and family know, I am uber-obsessed with apocaylpses — catastrophic, biblical, biological — you name it, I’m fascinated. I even read the Left Behind series, terrible piece of evangelical crap that it is (nothing worse than poorly disguised, poorly reasoned doctrine slathered with hack fiction), just to have another vision of the end of days. Trust me, I’m not kidding when I say I have a zombie survival plan, either. :) Jericho on CBS is a great post-apocaylptic show, not just because of the logistics of the disaster, but because it devotes a large part of its creative force to examining the human strife that is bound to ensue when law & order breaks down and people have to deal with dwindling resources. Plus, its got the yummy Skeet Ulrich, which my entire generation is required to drool over, although my boyfriend used to call him a poor man’s Johnny Depp . . .
